Coming Soon... Riverside...

Tomas caught me up on the way across the field. I glanced sideways at him. I was still a little annoyed with him, “What?”  I asked a little sharply.
He grimaced slightly at my tone. Tom had never liked being out of favour with anyone, “I just wanted you to know that I’d apologised to Will about the way I’d been behaving lately – and we’re good now.”
I couldn’t help smiling. “Well, I’m glad you two have made things up – it’s especially awkward being around the two of you when you’re not speaking to each other.”
He shrugged, his ears going a little pink, “Need a hand with the drinks?”
I nodded, “Yeah – and Tom.”
He raised his eyebrows questioningly, “Would you mind if I asked you to give Sawyer his drink.”
His lip curled up on one side in a cheeky grin, “You’ve got the hots for him, haven’t you?”
I shook my head, “I don’t exactly know what I feel about him if I’m honest, Tom – most of the time he does my head in.”
Tom chuckled, “Yeah, I know that feeling,” He muttered.

This Valentines Day....

If you've ever been 'friends' you'll understand....

Available now from Amazon

...Angelica came to visit the very next weekend and she’d been so delighted to see me she’d flung her arms around my neck and kissed me full on the lips.
I’d closed my eyes and kissed her back but it wasn’t a full on snog – more’s the pity…
We broke apart, both looking a little embarrassed and it was then she broke her news – and my heart…
“I’ve met this guy…”
My stomach turned over and I felt my heart turn to a solid lump of lead in my chest; a guy? She’d never met a guy before. Before it had always been just the two of us against the world… I glanced across at Carry-Ann, who looked back at me with wide eyes, “A guy?” I asked, “Cool,” I swallowed and forced a smile. I couldn’t hide my tears behind my glasses anymore, since I’d gotten all cool and had a haircut and started to wear contacts, but right now I was wishing for those specs – as much as I’d hated them all my life before…. I blinked. “What’s his name?”
“Steve,” she said with a bit of an affected sigh – or maybe it was an ‘I’m in love with him’ sigh and I was just being picky… “He’s so intelligent…”
I was a little affronted, “I got straight A’s you know,” I said before I could stop myself, “I’m intelligent,” I added completely unnecessarily, “What’s so fabulous about him?”
Carry-Ann gave me a warning glance. I nodded and decided to keep my mouth shut after that – no point in making a total fool of myself...

Introducing Will...

Tom stood up after a few drinks, “I like this song.” He said, grinning at me and holding out his hand to me, “Come on, Will – you can dance, can’t you?”
Trey and Toby were looking on, grinning all over their faces.
I stood up too. Damn straight I was gonna dance with him – I’d been admiring him from afar for too damned long. Tom looked delighted as he strode to the dance floor. He turned to check I was still with him and the smile on his face to find me right behind him was heart-stopping, “I’m not going anywhere,” I shouted over the music, “Not when I’ve got you all to myself.”
He grinned at me and started to dance. I danced with him, admiring the way his body moved. He was so tall and so graceful. We soon had quite a lot of attention from girls; something that didn’t escape Trey’s notice. He joined us within about thirty seconds and I overheard him chatting one of them up, “You’ve got no chance with either of those two,” he said good-naturedly, “They’re a couple.”

I wanted to laugh. The girl clearly didn’t believe him so I thought I’d throw him a lifeline. I got really close to Tom and whispered in his ear. I was only asking him if he wanted another drink, but he stopped dancing to listen to what I was saying and he didn’t move his hand away when I took his and led him from the dance floor, winking conspiratorially at Trey as I did so.

Introducing Tatum...

I lay looking up at the ceiling – well, the inside of my tent anyway – can we call it the ceiling? Well, you know, whatever...
It was my twenty-fifth birthday party – me and the boys had gone on a weekend jaunt. Well, it was Friday night to Saturday actually – hardly a weekend away but it was long enough. I should have taken the opportunity to put things right between Madison and I instead. God, I missed her. I bit my lip hard. How was I going to survive this undercover thing? I squeezed my eyes shut and tried my best to ignore the noises coming from the tent next to mine.
My brother and my best mate were in there together. And yes, I do mean together, together. It had been inevitable that they’d admit their feeling for each other one day – ever since Tom first set eyes on him I saw a hunger there that just wasn’t apparent in him around girls.
So – me and the boys, my two youngest brothers Trey and Toby decided we’d give them a little push in the right direction – and totally set them up with each other.

Right now, though, I was rather wishing I’d taken the other tent – then I wouldn’t have to hear everything going on in there… And yeah – damned right I was jealous – my girl was miles away from me with her friends.

Introducing Sawyer...

“Shall we call it a day?”
I jumped. I had been in my own little world there for a moment. I blinked at her, “I beg your pardon?”
She smiled at me and I felt something inside awaken. For the last two years I had felt nothing. What was it about this woman, with her soft face and gently curling hair that was getting under my skin? It made me uncomfortable.
“Fancy something to eat?” she said with a smile, “I’m famished.”
I nodded, “Sure.” I agreed. “Tell you what – I’ll take you out – you’ve done enough today and the rest of the boys can look after themselves for a change.” What was I saying? What was I doing? I was making it sound as if I cared about her… Maybe I did.
She blushed a charming shade of pink. “Oh, right – okay. Where did you have in mind?”
I shrugged, “There are a few places in the city – don’t dress up – they’re not fancy but the food is good.” I grinned at her.

She smiled back, “Okay,” she agreed, “That sounds like fun. I’ll see you in half an hour then.” She shot out of the old house and was half way across the field before I’d realised that I’d just effectively asked her on a date… Shit!

Introducing True...

My name is True – short for Truelove – no really – and believe me it’s been the source of many a joke for my school friends my whole life.
The only friend who didn’t think it was hysterically funny the first time we met was Will. But then Will was totally different to anyone I’d ever met before and I instantly fell in like with him. I say like because I’ve never been attracted to him like that. Will is gay – to be fair he definitely doesn’t flaunt it and I wouldn’t necessarily have ever known if we hadn’t made such good friends at college.
My story doesn’t start out particularly happy – but that’s not to say I don’t still believe in happy-ever-afters…
Our story starts on 27th November 2011 – the day my parents died, leaving me to fend for myself – oh and my four brothers…
Yes, there were five of us – Tatum, my older brother, me, then Tomas and finally the twins, Trey and Toby.
I can almost see you rolling your eyes at our names – and believe me, I’ve done the same on many an occasion. I adored my parents but imagination clearly wasn’t their strong point…

Anyway… they sadly died in a car accident, leaving us with a very healthy bank balance and a great little business to run – but with no idea how to go about it – being only eighteen and all that… So, I had four brothers to bring up – on my own – three of whom were younger than me and full of testosterone with no idea what to do with all those raging hormones. Now I had to get creative… Now I had to become Mum…
