Another Studs & Steel Novella on it's way...

I felt normal. I looked normal. I was normal.
I just happened to be deaf... I wasn’t always deaf. Up until I got that horrible illness when I was a kid, I’d been exactly the same as everyone else but now I was the same as everyone else to look at – I was just different. I was profoundly deaf in one ear and pretty much deaf in the other one if I didn’t wear my hearing aid – and that made me abnormal to some...
Thankfully they were few and far between and I was generally able to get on with my life – and have boyfriends and therefore a lot of fun – in peace.
Mum and Dad were fully supportive of me – as was my older brother, Josh.
I was perfectly happy – well, mostly.
I would be perfectly happy if my best friend was gay too – but sadly, he was as straight as a die – and in love with his girlfriend. Her name was Sasha and she was adorable. I could totally understand why he loved her. I kind of loved her too. I just loved him more and wanted him to be mine. It was never going to happen. Sometimes, as heart-breaking as it was to accept, love just didn’t happen between some people...

April Newsletter...

Hey guys, Happy Easter! Hope you're all going on Easter Egg hunts and having a wild time.
Let's hope the weather is kind to us and we can all have some fun in the sun...
I shall be writing, as usual :) It is my favourite pastime after all...
I've just finished writing Looking After Lorenzo, which is a novella that makes up part of the Studs & Steel series. I've also got another couple of these novella's in the pipeline - then next one being "A shoulder to cry on"
However, I have a few others to finish up before I can get my teeth into that one...
As I'm sure you're all aware, the next book to be released is coming up fast and is "Buzz... Bedazzled" He's available now for pre-ordering and is on general release on 30th April 2017.
I'm busy writing the next one in the series, which is Stake-Out, and concentrates on the growing relationship between Denny and Blaine, the police officers that first appeared in Alfie... Abused.
I'm planning on getting the last two of Riverside out in the next couple of months and then I may throw in a couple of Novella's to accompany the series at a later date. I love the idea of catching up with the family again in a few years, so maybe...

I"ve also got a few to release later on this year in the "What If...?" series so, again - watch this space and I will get around to them!
As always, if you want to get in touch, just fill in the contact form and I'll get back to you :)

Have fun and I'll update you all again next month...

Have you met the Fletcher's yet?

My name sounded exotic and foreign – sadly, I was neither exotic nor particularly foreign. Dad was obviously Italian but he’d been born and raised in England and couldn’t speak a word of it – and Mum was English, and I just had a stupid name.
Well, no, not stupid – just different. I was named after my Grandad...
Mum absolutely loved it and said my name sounded like a film star. I said it sounded more like a porn star. We didn’t speak for a week after that...

It has a name now...

And it's going to be part of the Studs & Steel series....

Here's another teaser for you...

I looked up at Chelsea worriedly, “I thought you were supposed to be shown how to do this properly – you know, at the opticians?”
She snorted, “Nah,” she said as if I was completely stupid and making me feel a bit of a baby over the whole thing.
“Oh, okay.” I said, immediately interested in learning something new, “Go on then – what do I have to do?”
She started to explain how to open my eye really widely and then to get the lens on the end of my finger and to place it on my eye and then to look left and right to get it in the right place on my eye.
Well, that sounded easy enough. I got the lens on the end of my finger and in my enthusiasm to have a go, I managed to poke myself in the eye – hard. “Christ!” I groaned, “that hurt...”
Chelsea started fussing around me, “Oh, my God – look at the state of you.” She looked at me in horror, “Josh is going to kill me...”
Why would Josh want to kill her? “He won’t.” I said as I nursed my stinging eye with my flannel, “He’ll probably just laugh at me.”
Her face said otherwise, which was slightly bemusing to say the least. “Look, have another go – but for chrissakes don’t do that to your other eye as well...” She was peering at me with an even more horrified look than the one she was wearing before...
“What?” I asked, “What’s the matter with my eye?”
She bit her lip, “It’s swelling up.” She whispered.
I frowned and looked back in the mirror. Holy crap. It really was swelling up... “Okay,” I said, “Well, maybe I’ll have a go with the other eye.”
Chelsea whimpered.
I pursed my lips at her and gave her a glare with my good eye, “If you’re going to wimp out – go.” I said impressively – or at least, I felt kind of impressed with myself.
She shook her head, “Oh, God, no.” she said, “If he thinks I left you to your own devices, he’ll go spare...”
When the hell had Chelsea and Josh discussed me to the point of her knowing that he’d react so badly to me putting contact lens in my eyes badly? There was definitely something going on that she wasn’t telling me about...
I braced myself and had another go. “Holy hell!” I screamed as the contact lens touched my eyeball. “That stings like a bitch!”
“Get it out of your eye! Get it out!” Chelsea screamed.
In my haste to get the damned thing back off my eyeball I managed to poke myself in my one good eye, “Oh, my GOD!”
I think I managed to remove it, but my eyes were so sore and so closed up, I couldn’t actually see a damned thing anymore.
The next thing I knew, Josh’s voice was cutting over Chelsea’s rather shrill explanations and I made my way out to the landing – having to feel my way as I really couldn’t see a damned thing anymore. The next thing I knew, my knight in shining armour was whisking me off to A&E...
