August Newsletter....

Hi guys...

Thought I would start a monthly newsletter to hopefully let you all know what's coming up in the next few months...

As you already know, I'm passionate about my stories when I'm not writing them, I'm reading someone else's wonderful creation. Well, I've got a few things going on, so here's a quick round-up...

So, over at Riverside the weddings is coming along nicely and I'm hoping to have that finished in time for Christmas... Emilio's story is taking a little longer to finish so he's been pushed back to 2017 (I'm thinking March but don't hold me to that...) as my other series have taken a hold of me!

The Boy Next Door series is coming to a close... Best Boyfriend Ever is due out any day now (1st September - thanks to everyone who has pre-ordered it, I really appreciate your support) and hot on his heels is Racing Hearts which links the Riverside series, the Boy Next Door series and my new series, Studs and Steel. The final one in the Boy Next Door Series is I Need A Little Time and is a Christmas story so that one will definitely be out by 1st December.

I'm very excited about my Studs and Steel Series. Set in and around the lives of the clubbers and staff of Studs and Steel nightclub, the first one is all about the club owner, Peyton McKenzie, an ex-gang member trying his best to go straight...

Peyton is the owner of the swanky new nightclub, Studs and Steel. He's already been involved in a hit and run and was lucky to come away from that with nothing more than a broken leg.
Now he's been shot at point-blank range and is recovering in hospital.
He's got an ex-girlfriend and a son who could also be in danger, an ex-boyfriend that he's desperate to find and now to complicate matters even further, he's got a hotter than hot bodyguard watching his every move...

Available now for pre-ordering exclusively to Amazon... release date 1st November 2016. I've got four books in this series planned so far, but there will definitely be a few more - possibly up to seven... The others in the series so far are River Redeemed, Buzz Bedazzled and Alfie Abused.

The next newsletter will be posted around mid September and I shall endeavour to do this every month on the 15th or so to keep you updated. I'll still post snippets from the books as I go, but I thought it might be fun to do this too - let me know what you think :D

Anyway... time for me to go and feed my gluten-free sourdough starter... I thought I'd give it a whirl - I'll let you know how that turns out too - if it's any good I'll post the recipe at the same time! haha!

Anyway... for those of you in the UK, enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend and dodge those raindrops! and for everyone else around the world - have a great weekend!

Out Now! Exclusive to Amazon

“Stop that Travis! We’ll be late for school.”
I tried my best to hurry up but it wasn’t easy – this was why we had to set off early – my OCD about not walking on the cracks in the pavement – but today we’d managed to oversleep and therefore we were running late and I was freaking out... “But I can’t walk on the cracks!” I wailed.
Mum rolled her eyes, no doubt in response to yet another one of her son’s freaky superstitions – God only knows where I’d picked them up from – I think Mum thought I secretly trawled the internet for new and exciting ways to give her a mental breakdown. Or maybe it was me who was having a mental breakdown, who knows... I was almost eleven, in my last year of junior school and I was quite aware that I was kind of different to the rest of my classmates – for starters I was streets ahead of them at maths and science – secondly I didn’t find it all that easy to makes friends – I had one really close friend, Gabby who I spent most of my time with – mostly everyone else avoided us – we were the freaky kids – too clever and too weird to be mates with. Whatever...
Mum grabbed me by the arm and pulled me across the road towards the school building. I lost my footing a little as we reached the other side of the road and I stepped on a crack. Letting out a yowl of total horror, I stopped and stared at her, “Look what you made me do!” I screamed, “I’m gonna have such bad luck all day now, Mum! And it’s all your fault!”
She shook her head with a little sigh and stroked my hair away from my forehead. She leaned down and kissed my forehead and then steered me gently towards the school gates, where Gabby was waiting patiently for me. I attempted to smile at her as I wiped the tears from my eyes that had sprung up out of nowhere. “No, you’re not,” Mum said firmly but gently, “You’re going to ace your maths test and you’ll be top of the class – you’ll see.”
This, of course she knew with absolute certainty. I wasn’t only freaky about cracks in the pavement and black cats and ladders – and God help me, Friday the 13th – I was also freaky about numbers. I have no idea how, but I could just do maths without even thinking about it.
I grinned at her, “I am, aren’t I?” I said joyfully; instantly forgetting about my earlier distress, “Thanks Mum,” I flung my arms around her and gave her a big hug, “I’ll see you later – you will be here, won’t you?” A feeling of dread swept through me. I’d stepped on that crack, after all – that definitely meant something bad would happen today. Maybe she’d forget to fetch me...
She nodded firmly, “Of course I will, honey – I’d never leave you stranded...”
No. Of course she wouldn’t. My mum loved me. She’d never leave...

Riverside Series meets Boys Next Door meet Studs and Steel...

I ordered my drink and sat back in the bar stool watching the bubbles rising to the top of the glass. I rarely drank. Rarely got a day off if I’m honest – but you don’t turn twenty-one every day and so I’d gotten a whole weekend off.
My attention was caught by one of the barmen. He was talking about one of the dancers but then the guy he was talking to mentioned a name...
“Did you know Leo could dance like that?” I heard the guy next to me at the bar ask his co-worker and a tingling sensation went through me from my head to my toes, “Would you look at that. I thought he was training to be a chef at that fancy restaurant in Stoney Croft – not to be a pole-dancer.”
“Oh, wow.” The other one breathed, “I thought he was into motor sport, I had no idea he could move like that.” He was quite clearly admiring what he was seeing.
I frowned. Leo? Okay so there had to be more than one Leo on the planet, but put together with the rest – being a chef at the only restaurant in Stoney Croft? And being into motorsport? Well, it was just too much of a coincidence. I turned around slowly and followed the line of sight that the guys behind the bar were looking – with their tongues hanging out of their mouths.
My stomach nearly dropped through my arse, “Oh, holy hell.” I breathed as I took in the writhing sexy body wrapped around the pole on the central podium, “Leo...”
Brad leaned across and whispered in my ear, “So, what about him?” he nodded towards Leo, “wanna spend the night dancing with him?” he asked.
I didn’t have to even think about it, “Definitely.” I said, “I don’t want anyone else.” I never have...

I could hear someone singing softly on the next aisle from where I was stood. He seemed to only be singing the verses to the song – as if he wanted someone to chime in with the chorus... well, I was happy to oblige. I waited until he came to the end of the next line and then I started to softly sing the chorus. I stopped and waited to see if he’d continue the song.
He did. This was kind of fun. I pulled out a book and peered through the bookshelf. My eyes almost popped out of my head when I found myself eye-to-eye with Jules....
Mum always reckoned that if she could stop singing and someone carried on the song – they were totally in tune with you – like you had a connection... and I was pretty damned sure I had a connection with Jules...
Making him see that while he was still nursing a broken heart was gonna be a challenge... I could see that but I was also willing to give it a go...
I still wasn’t sure if I was in love with Jules – or in love with the idea of being in love with Jules – and I guess I was never gonna find out unless I took the bull by the horns and asked him out.
“Hi,” I said, “What are you doing in here?”
He raised an eyebrow, “Why shouldn’t I be in here?’ he asked, “I like poetry.”
It was my turn to raise an eyebrow, “Poetry?”
He nodded, “Why, what’s on your side?”
I looked at the shelves. I hadn’t really been taking much notice – I’d followed the sound of his beautiful voice if I was gonna be completely honest. “Motorcross and uh, BMXing.”
He nodded, “Wow, Chas,” He said, “I didn't know you were into that?”
I swallowed hard and shook my head, “I'm not really.” I admitted with my heart slamming against my ribs painfully, “But I’m into you.”

“Please don’t leave me.” Sam whispered, breaking my heart and making me wonder just what the hell I thought I was doing.
But I knew I was doing the right thing – there was only one way forward for us – and that was for me to go crawling back to Dad – then I’d have money. I could make something of myself and then I’d go back and find Sam – and I’d get him out of that awful place and I’d look after him…
“I have to, Sam – but don’t give up on me – I’ll come back for you – I promise.”
I broke that promise – not on purpose – I went back and he’d gone and I had no idea where to find him…
